How to select the type of screw conveyor?

The screw conveyor is a kind of common continuous conveying equipment without driving component. The screw conveyor is widely used in metallurgy, mining, motive power, building materials, light industry, wharf for transporting bulk materials such as coal, ores, grains, sand, chemical fertilizer and etc. The screw conveyor has many types, much architectural difference,  and many designing parameters. Besides, each parameter has interrelation and restrict, which makes the design and selection complex. We should consider following points when choosing the screw conveyor. 
1. delivery capacity
The delivery capacity means the volume of materials conveyed in unit interval. If the material is bulk material, it will be calculated according to mass or volume. If the thing conveyed is product in piece, it will be calculated according to quantity. If the screw conveyor is matched with linear vibrating screen, spin vibration sieve, ultrasonic vibrating screen and etc, we need to calculate the charging rate and controlled delivery value of vibrating screen. Before designing the screw conveyor, we should consider the matching equipment, which is easy to design the models of screw conveyor. 
2. conveying speed
The conveying speed could influence the delivery capacity. If the conveyor's traction is chain, the conveying speed should not be large, avoiding increasing the dynamic loading. Besides, the speed of apron feeder matched should be adjusted accordingly. 
3. sizes of component
The sizes of component include the length of conveyor belt, width of sheet, bucket capacity, diameter of pipe, container capacity and etc. All above sizes influence the delivery capacity of screw conveyor. 
4. conveying length and inclination
The conveying length and inclination influences the total resistance and power. Before selecting the screw conveyor, we need to consider the factors. 
5. The adjustable-speed motor could be selected to control the conveying speed. 
6. The hopper and feeding size could be selected according the requirements of customers. 
Besides, we should consider the related matching equipment such as stacker reclaimer, stone crusher, apron feeder and etc. In this way, we could select the proper screw conveyor
