The forming for kiln coating has many influencing factors. There are three main factors.
1 The chemical composition of materials: The kiln coating is the outcome of liquid phase to solid phase. If there are more aluminous and ferruginous composition, it is easier to forming the kiln coating. But if one kind of aluminous and ferruginous composition is much, it is difficult for the forming of kiln coating.
2 The temperature of flame: If the temperature is too low, it is difficult to form the kiln coating. If the temperature is too high, the kiln coating could form but it is easy to drop out.
3 The shape of flame: The short, and broad flame is erodent to the kiln coating. And the long flame is beneficial to form the kiln coating. But the heat will be scattered.
In the course of operating, the users should pay attention to the flame shape and flame location and strictly supervise the production.
And the functions of kiln coating has the following items.
1 It could protect the firebrick from high temperature and chemical attack.
2 It could store the heat, reducing the heat loss and increasing the heat efficiency of rotary kiln.
3 The rough surface of kiln coating could reduce the flow speed and prolong the reaction time of materials.
