Introduction about related mining equipment

About the mining equipment, conveyor and reclaimer are in the common use. So I want to talk something about related machines in this blog.

As we all know, the driving drum is the belt conveyor components which are used for transferring power. There is bare smooth steel cover in the surface of the driving drum, with herringbone and rhombic designs covering the surface. On the conditions of small power, small bandwidth and dry environment, bare smooth steel cover could be used. The rubber surface with herringbone figures has high friction coefficient, good skid resistance and drainage performance, but it has directivity. The rubber surface with rhombic designs is used in dual moving conveyor. The driving drum is the main conveyor components of transferring power. The modes of driving include single-drum, dual-drum and multi-drum modes. The single-drum is mainly used in the conveyors with low power, such as used in the coal surface transporting and in the coal preparation plant. The belt conveyor underground usually chooses dual-drum mode to make the structure of conveyor compact. About the belt conveyor design principle, the following narration could tell you the answer.
Tractive effort the belt conveyor design needs is transferred through rubbing action between driving pulley of driving device and conveyor belt. So the friction drive forms. To ensure the transmitting of acting force and traction components' no slipping on the driving wheel, the following conditions must be met.
(1) The traction components should have enough tension.
(2) There should be certain roughness on the contact surface of traction belt and driving pulley.
(3) Traction belt should have an enough surrounding angle on the driving wheel.
For the reclaimer, there are so many related devices about reclaimer such as protective devices for keeping the equipment operating normally in the course of reclaimer operation. An ordinary reclaimer should have following devices:
material level limit, pitching and rotating limit, walking encoder and buffer stopper, sound-light alarming device, scramming device, ultrasonic anti-crash device, overheat protection system of motor reducing gear, under speed and tearing warning device of arm belt, PLC interlocking device and other protection devices.
