The Classification of Forging Technology
The forging technology could be divided into free forging, modular forging, rolling ring, and special forging.
The free forging: Free forging refers to a method of forging where the heated iron/steel is anchored and then formed by hammering, pressing, or other methods. Free forging can flexibly form the shape of each product, and is suited to making large components or for diversified small-quantity production.
The die forging: This forging method is suited for the production of industrial product components. The die forging could be divided into hot die forging, warm forging, and cold forging. The warm forging and cold forging is the developing direction in the future, which standards for the level of the forging technology.
Rolling rings: The rolling rings refer to the ring-shaped work pieces with different diameters manufactured by special ring rolling machine. Some wheel shape pieces would be used in the automobile hub and train wheel.
Special forging: The special forging includes roll forging, cross wedge rolling, radial forging, Liquid forging and etc. These methods are suitable to manufacture the components with special shapes.
In industry, the rotary kiln is a device that supplies tremendous amounts of heat in order to change the chemical composition of an object. And the magnetic separator is used in helping to separate tramp ferrous metals from conveyed material. Forging is a part of the industry. And all these technologies create the technology world.
