The Important Part Of The Belt Conveyor-Idler

Idlers, part of belt conveyor, are used for supporting belt and materials. They can be divided into transition idlers, groove idlers, groove forward-inclined idlers, impact idlers, v type forward tilt idlers, parallel return idlers and carrying & return self aligning idlers. Each group has features of advanced structure, light weight, small transmission resistance, good sealing and long life etc. When the belt conveyor is designed as the pipe conveyor, the idlers also have some changes accordingly.
Transition idlers:
Transition idler group is composed of 3 rollers, trough angle is respectively 10 degrees and 20 degrees. It is used for transition supporting belt near head & tail pulley.
Trough forward tilt idlers:
Trough forward tilt idlers is composed of 3 idlers with 30 degrees trough angle and 1.5 degrees forward tilt angle. It can protect conveying belt from swaying .
Impact idlers:
Impact idlers is composed of 3 rollers with rubber ring. They would be installed under receiving point to reduce material impact.
Parallel idlers and V type forward tilt idlers:
Parallel idlers and V type forward tilt idlers are used for convey return section. Parallel idlers structure is shown as picture 8. To improve conveyor swaying, V type forward tilt idlers will be installed on conveyor return section.
Carrying & return self aligning idlers:
To protect belt from swaying, on the carrying and return section, installed a group of self aligning idlers every 10 groups of idlers.
Only when these idlers play an important role, could the belt conveyor have the best capacity. When the belt conveyor coordinate with the stacker reclaimer, the stacker reclaimer could get good effect thanks to the better performance of the belt conveyor.
