How to solve the off tracking problem of belt conveyor?
The off tracking of belt conveyor is the common problem in the production. Especially, belt conveyor installed in inclined drift is easy to have off tracking of belt. If this problem could not be solved timely, the coal production will be limited and the equipment performance will be worse, which would reduce the service life of belt and many result in accident.
If the off tracking of belt occur, we should confirm the reason and then solve it accordingly. We should deal with it according to actual conditions to guarantee the normal operation of the belt conveyor.
If the upper belt has deviation in one direction and the lower belt has deviation in the other direction, this could result from the large diagonal deviation. We could adjust the frame to higher place, making upper and lower idlers bear large load. There is no off tracking with load, while off tracking occurs without load. This situation is common where it is downhill and hanging segment. At this moment, the belt is controlled by several idlers. In the summon, the idler has large acting force to the belt.
