The features of different reducer in belt conveyor

The reducer is an independent closed drive between the prime mover equipment and the working machine to reduce the speed and increase the torque meeting the working needs. In some cases, the reducer could be used to increase the speed, known as the speed changer. When choosing reducer as a part of belt conveyor design, we should choose carefully to make the whole belt conveyor to reach the best performance.
The Selection of reducer should be based on the working conditions, technical parameters, power machine performance, economic and other factors of belt conveyor. The designer should  compare different types of reducer, transmission efficiency, carrying capacity, quality, price to select the most suitable reducer.
The reducer is a relatively sophisticated machine. The purpose of using reducer is to reduce the speed and increase the torque. In general, reducer types include helical gear reducer (including parallel shaft helical gear reducer, worm reducer, bevel gear reducer, etc. ), planetary gear reducer, cycloid reducer, worm gear reducer and so on.
Cylinder gear speed reducer includes single stage, two stage, and above two stage.
The bevel gear wheel reducer used in cross of input axis and output shaft.
The worm reducer has low efficiency.
The planetary reducer has high efficiency with wide transmission ratio. Also the weight and volume is small.
