How to make plans of using funds in EPC project?

The payment terms in EPC project are very complex, especially for EPC companies supplying stacker reclaimer, apron feeder, screw conveyor and other large materials handling equipment. According to the time, there are advance payment, interim payment, provisional acceptance, guarantee period and etc. For each stage, we should meet the payment conditions required. Especially for interim payment, it will involve in civil engineering, supply of equipment, installation, training and etc. Because of different content, we may meet some restrictions in payment terms. Some payment may involves in the change in workload, the change in working range, the change in price and change in payment because of fine. So the main contractor of EPC companies should fully understand the meaning of payment terms and have capacity of calculating the amount of payments. Otherwise, even if the main contractor completes the whole working of project, he may could not get all the payments from the owner.
In addition, the general contractor should study how to calculate cash flow based on the payment terms. Some contractors have got the payment from the owners, but do not want to pay to the subcontractor. They think late payment is safer and can get a certain interest income, not knowing the subcontractor have convey payment of high interest and possible payment risk to general contractor by raising the price all passed on to the total package, which greatly increases the cost of subcontracting. Therefore, the general contractor must be soberly aware that the excessive protection of their own needs to pay the cost of the price. Only the rational use of the preparation of funds, could the owners of payment and subcontract payment be the organic combination, as far as possible to reduce their advance funds.
