Some Matters Needing Attention When Using Screw Feeder
During the using of screw conveyor, some faults would occur. The fault analysis and related solutions are as follows:
Feed Blocking:
1. The technical parameters of screw conveyor should be selected logically. For example, the rotating speed of screw conveyor should not be large.
2. The operators should execute the operating instruction, guaranteeing the no-load starting and parking with no-load. In this way, the materials could be entered continuously.
3. The discharge hole should be enlarged to solve the feeding block.
4. The cleaning should be carried out in period, preventing the large materials entering into the machine.
5. The hanger bearing's lateral dimension should be reduced to prevent the feeding block.
6. The silometer and blocking inductor should be installed to realize the automatic control and alarm.
7. The anti-blocking valve should be set in delivery end. When the materials are blocked, the valve could help to solve this problem.
The Burn of The Driving Motor
The hard materials enter into the screw conveyor, which stick the rimer. In this way, the electric current becomes large to burn out the motor. The solution is that we should keep certain interval between rimer and enclosure.
The waggle of enclosure
The decentraction of center lines of spiral segments makes the waggle of enclosure. We should install the screw conveyor again to find the right center line.
The high temperature of hanger bearing
The improper assembly makes the high temperature. We should install the bearing in the right place.
In general, most EPC companies would choose apron feeder, stacker reclaimer, stone crusher, pipe conveyor, screw conveyor to complete the transportation of materials.
